Orientation Day is Sunday, July 8. Attendance is mandatory. 

No student will be permitted to check-in without having completed Confirmation of Admissions .

Residential Check-In

  • Receive your University ID Card, meal cards, room assignment and keys. Afterwards, you’ll move-in.
  • Parking attendants direct traffic and unloading. You will be permitted to move your vehicle close to the residence hall in order to unload your belongings. The program does not have staff that can assist with unloading or moving belongings into the residence hall.
  • Once you have unloaded, you’ll need to move your car to Lot 1. You may not park and leave your vehicle at the residence hall.
  • Parents/Guardians: After move-in, you’ll say good-bye to your residential student. Your next step is the Parent Orientation Session .
  • Residential students go to lunch and then the  Student Orientation Session .

  • To park on campus, you must have a valid parking permit. Print out an Orientation Day Lot 1 Permit. (coming soon)

Commuter Check-In

  • Receive your University ID Card and meal card.
  • Meet other commuters, exchange information and, perhaps, set-up carpools.
  • Students & Parents walk to the residence hall, which is the location to meet on the first day of classes. Parents return to the Stamp Union for the Parent Orientation Session ; students go to lunch and then the Student Orientation Session ;
  • To park on campus, you must have a valid parking permit. Print out an Orientation Day Lot 1 Permit. (coming soon)

Orientation Sessions

Parent Session: Includes an introduction and greeting by professional staff, overall program information, a review of the policies and procedures, and a question and answer session. At the conclusion of the Orientation Session, parents may return home. Commuter students will meet their parents outside of Hoff Theatre.

Student Session: Includes an introduction by the mentor staff, overall program information, and a review of the policies and procedures. At the conclusion of the Orientation Session, Commuter students be escorted to Stamp to meet their parents outside of Hoff Theatre.
